The name and licence behind the offer

Before comparing treatment menus, ask who will conduct your assessment. Get that person’s full name. If the advert names someone else, ask who the appointment is actually with.

Use the state’s record

Colorado has a free search for licences held by doctors, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacies. It was checked September 26, 2026. These are licence records, rather than your personal health records.

The state advises beginning an individual search with the person’s first and last names.

A licence record has limits

The state medical board keeps a doctor’s licence record. It also publishes action it has taken over a doctor’s conduct. They also show any formal charges still waiting for a decision. No public action on the record does not tell you how skilled a doctor is.

Save the result with your notes. If a name match is unclear, ask the service for the licence number and use it to check again.

Ask which board applies

Colorado’s Medical Board oversees doctors and physician assistants. Its Board of Nursing oversees nurses. The board information was checked September 26, 2026.

Both sit within DORA, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
