The name of the medicine comes before the decision

Proteins are made from tiny pieces called amino acids. A short chain of those pieces forms a peptide.

“Peptide care” can refer to quite different things: a drug with approval, a medicine prepared for a patient, or something sold as a research chemical. A research label may say “for research use only”.

A pharmacist or doctor can instead prepare the medicine for a patient; that practice is called compounding.

The letters FDA stand for the Food and Drug Administration. That agency reviews drug products for particular uses, rather than approving the whole idea of peptide care.

A compounded medicine goes on sale without an FDA approval review. The FDA has not first checked its safety, the quality of its preparation or whether it does what it is meant to do. This information was checked September 26, 2026.

Untangle the words before weighing an offer

Keep these questions beside any offer

The Colorado check that matters online, too

If you are in Colorado for a remote visit, the person treating you needs permission from Colorado. The state gives this explanation in its guidance, checked September 26, 2026.

Video calls, phone conversations and online messages can be forms of telehealth, meaning care at a distance. A clinician assesses your health.

A health professional licensed in another state may qualify to register with Colorado for remote care. This registration is permission to treat Colorado patients from a distance, instead of holding a full Colorado licence. It has conditions; ask which permission the person treating you holds. These rules were checked September 26, 2026.
