The bill beyond the opening price

A headline price can have a short life

Self-pay means paying outside your insurance.

An offer for the semaglutide Ozempic pen started at $199 for each month’s supply. The offer was checked September 26, 2026.

That starting price covered two versions: 0.25 mg, and also 0.5 mg. These numbers are the amount of medicine in each dose; they identify which prescription the offer covers. It was for eligible new adult patients paying cash in the United States, for just the first two monthly supplies. Ask whether your prescription meets the offer’s terms.

The terms gave December 31, 2026 as the cutoff. After the introduction, monthly prices were $349 or $499 according to strength.

Those are medicine prices, not a quote for a Denver visit or a complete care plan. Ask for your own itemised quote.

Keep insurance and cash payment separate

Under the terms checked September 26, 2026, you could not ask insurance to repay this cash purchase. You also could not put the payment toward your deductible.

A plan may make you pay a set amount before certain benefits begin. That amount is your deductible; ask which charges count toward it.
